Bearing is an important component of steam turbine. The main bearing is also called radial bearing. Its function is to bear the total weight of the rotor and the centrifugal force caused by the unbalance track of the rotor mass to determine the correct radial position of the rotor in the cylinder. Because each bearing has to bear a high load and the shaft stiffness rotates at a high speed, the steam turbine bearings all adopt internal bearing bushs or sliding bearings based on liquid friction. Oil film is formed between the oil stiffness and the bearing bushs by means of weeping oil with a certain pressure to establish a liquid friction volume and ensure the safe and stable operation of the steam turbine.
