TRT-(blast furnace top gas recovery turbine unit, hereinafter referred to as TRT) blast furnace gas residual pressure turbine generator (TRT) utilizes the pressure energy and heat energy of blast furnace top gas, a byproduct of blast furnace smelting, to make the gas do work through a turbine expander, convert it into mechanical energy, and then convert the mechanical energy into electrical energy.
Energy recovery. The original blast furnace gas is washed and dedusted, and then passed through a pressure reducing valve group to reduce the pressure of about 170KPa to an appropriate level and sent to the user. This process makes the residual pressure of the blast furnace gas consumed in vain. Through the TRT unit, the residual pressure of gas can be converted into electric energy, which is then sent to the end user to convert the unused residual pressure into electric energy, thus obtaining certain economic benefits.
Better top pressure control. Generally speaking, the top pressure of blast furnace is adjusted through the static blades of TRT unit, which is better than the pressure reducing valve unit. This can bring more stable top pressure of blast furnace, while stable top pressure can make blast furnace easier to control and has a positive effect on production.
Reduce noise. As the pressure reducing valve group is completely closed and gas passes through the turbine, noise and vibration are converted into electric energy in the form of work, thus effectively reducing the noise of the pressure reducing valve group.
